We are the founding class of Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School. When Bishop Hodges broke the ground, we were there. In September 1957, we started classes in the ground floor of the girl's division while the upper floors were under construction. Each year a class was added under our class until the school reached capacity in 1960 during the beginning of our senior year. On June 9, 1961 we were O'Connell's first graduating class.
