The primary goals of
Rainier Riders is to:
1. Support cycling as a viable means for
Commuting (non-polluting transportation)
Physical Conditioning (healthiness)
Recreation (fun)
2. Organize monthly group rides. These rides take
place on the last "alternating" Saturday and Sunday of
each month at 10:00am and 1:00pm respectively (unless otherwise noted.)
3. Support community activities which actively
promotes cycling in the Metro Washington DC area, such as "Bike-to-Work" day, the Mount Rainier Bike Coop, etc. .
4. Adopt a local bike trail and maintain it on a regular
basis (4 times a year). Currently we are "adopting" mile 0-2 of the
Northwest Branch trail (Anacostia Tributary Trail System).
